As soon as we entered the month of August I knew that meant a new Birchbox was coming soon. After last month’s box, I was really looking forward to this box. What did I get?!

Now that Christmas is over and New Year’s has come and gone, if you’re like me, one of your New Years Resolutions is to try new products. That may seem silly, I mean, a resolution to try new products? But personally, I love being able to play around with makeup and figure out what products work and what don’t. Not only does it allow me to write reviews, but it allows me to possibly find staple items to add to my cosmetic collection. I’m sure you have seen “splurge or steal”posts on various beauty blogs, and I decided to do a version of my own. So keep reading if you want to see my list of splurges and steals (high end/drug store products) that I think you should try out this year! Read More

Although I live in Canada and Black Friday isn’t nearly as popular, I decided to venture out to the mall and see if there was any good deals going on. I went into a few different stores, but didn’t find that great of deals. Instead I ended up splurging on a few things in my two favourite stores; Sephora and Lush. Read on if you’d like to see some things I just couldn’t help but buy!

With Halloween over, the focus is now on Christmas. I find myself going onto Sephora.com a lot, so I figured I would share the holiday sets that I’m loving.
First I love the “favorites” value sets that Sephora puts out around this time of year. These are a great way to try out new products/brands that you may have not otherwise, plus the prices are affordable. Who doesn’t love that?
The first is Lashtash set that includes 2 full-size mascaras, 8 sample size mascaras, and a 1 oz Clinique make up remover. This set is a $133 value, but is priced at $45 and some of the brands in this include, Make Up Forever, Urban Decay, and Fairydrops…just to name a few.

I fell in love with Stila’s eye shadow trio in Gold Glow the moment that I saw it. Stila makes amazing eye shadows and this is no exception. I chose to get the Gold Glow because I liked the color combination the most. What I like most about this product is that it can create a whole eye look. I use the light champagne color all over the lid and for an inner corner highlight, then the bronze color in the crease and outer corner, and lastly the gold for my lower lash line.
