Christmas Gifts for the Cosmetic Lover: Lip Edition

With Christmas fast approaching, I thought I would give readers a few gift ideas for the makeup lovers in their lives. I am focusing on lip products, because they are easy to use and most people use lip products on

some level.

The first up is the Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. The Chubby Stick comes in a wide variety of colors and works as a lip moisturizer. It’s perfect for those who aren’t really comfortable or familiar with using makeup, because it goes on rather sheer, but still has a pop of color. And, since it has the moisturizing properties, it’s a usable, versatile product and combats dry winter skin. At $16, this product is a bit pricier, but would make a nice gift for a friend, or even as part of a Secret Santa.

I’ve heard a lot about these recently, especially from one of my favorite YouTubers- Amarixe. On a trip to Walgreens I saw they were buy one get one half-off (Ulta has this deal right now too). As this post gets published I am in New York, which was a main reason I picked up these polishes. I did not have time to go get my nails done before I left and I wanted something that would act as a gel manicure. I will be in New York for about a week and I didn’t want to have to paint my nails every other day like I normally do. The Revlon Colorstay polishes are supposed to be gel-like so let’s see how they are…

Giveaways were one of the things I was most excited about doing when I started writing for Facekitt, and since Francine has been kind enough to do a UK giveaway, (click the link for details if you’re from the UK) I thought it would be the perfect time to do one for Canada & US. I know a lot of people have been loving the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter’s so I decided to give away one of them for this giveaway.
