I know from personal experience, sometimes knowing the dupe of a high end makeup product is helpful if I’m on a budget. For those of you who aren’t sure, a “dupe” is basically just short form for duplicate. So I’m going to be giving a list of drug store makeup products that are similar “dupes” to a high end makeup product. There are obviously going to be some high end products that you are wanting to invest in, but if there’s a dupe to your favourite MAC lipstick that’s half the price and just as good quality, why not buy that one? Lets get started!
Every few months or so I make a wish list of products I would like to purchase within the next couple of months. I did this over the summer and I bought all but two products on my list. A lot of the time I find myself loving items on Sephora.com or wanting so many things YouTube beauty gurus talk about. So here is my list of items I hope to purchase soon…
1) Benefit’s Watt’s Up highlighter ($30)- I absolutely love Benefit’s high beam highlighter so when I heard they created a more champagne colored highlighter, I’ve been wanting it forever. Not too many people have talked about this product, but the concept is very cool. This goes from a cream to powder finish, which I know I will like better than high beam because it’s very goopy.

Now that Christmas is over and New Year’s has come and gone, if you’re like me, one of your New Years Resolutions is to try new products. That may seem silly, I mean, a resolution to try new products? But personally, I love being able to play around with makeup and figure out what products work and what don’t. I don’t know about all of you, but I absolutely love the time between Thanksgiving and New Years. All the Christmas lights going up, and Christmas music starting to be played on the radio, that combination is instant happiness for me. I mean how could you not be happy all the time? Planning all your presents for family and friends, drinking delicious holiday drinks, and don’t forget about all the feasting at Christmas parties.
