ve a fun update promo about them if you read on, as well as a mini haul of some of the latest products I’ve picked up. I’ve tried to keep my spending on a minimum since I just bought a condo, but there’s been some things just way too tempting to not buy.
Surprisingly so, I’ve been limiting the amount of makeup I’ve been buying lately because I’m moving into a condo soon, and I’ve been trying to spend my money on necessities only but I couldn’t hold off any longer… And come on, makeup IS a necessity for us beauty junkies. So after a recent trip to the drug store I picked up a few products that I can’t seem to get enough of.
I do not think that any of the writers are still doing project pan (correct me if I’m wrong ladies), but I chose not to participate. And that is mainly because I knew I would not be able to stick with it. Basically I love to shop way too much, but it is good for you guys because then you have things to read, like this post. It’s safe to say that I have a huge addiction to makeup and beauty products… I’m constantly thinking of new products I want to go buy, and after a couple recently shopping trips I was pleased to get a lot of the products I’d been searching for.
As soon as I’d heard about the new MAC line “Iris Apfel”, I immediately fell in love with every lipstick in the collection. I had gone into MAC wanting to pick up “Flamingo” and “Party Parrot” from the collection, because as much as I love all the colours I really couldn’t afford getting them all. Luckily I went in and ended up getting the last “Flamingo” (CAN $21) they had in stock (this colour was sold out everywhere, even online!). Unfortunately they didn’t have any “Party Parrot” left so that will be a purchase I make at a different time. Here is what the gorgeous coral-pink lipstick looks like…
Since I started writing for Facekitt in October 2011, I haven’t really bought much new make-up as I didn’t have the spare money to expand my already large collection. However recently I have come across some things I just couldn’t resist buying.
I have been using L’Oreal Million Lashes Illumiser for Hazel eyes since November. I feel that it has started to dry up as when I am wearing it, it is flaking off and sitting underneath my eyes. Normally I would go ahead and get a new Million Lashes. This time I would have went back to black as I don’t think the purpley colour of the Illuminiser one did anything at all for me. When browsing in Boots (www.boots.com) I saw they had a new No17 mascara on promotion. It is called ‘Peep Show’ and cost £5.29 just now but will go up to £6.29 later this month. It also comes with a free ‘Peep Show’ eyeshadow pallette while it is on promotion.
This mascara contains fibres which I am sure you have read about before or some of you will have tried a mascara with fibres in them. I myself have not and so I look forward to trying this out. Some mascaras with fibres in them can be expensive. With this one being only £5.29 which also included the pallette which you can see in the photgraph, I thought well I can’t be too mad if I don’t like it. Read More
Although I live in Canada and Black Friday isn’t nearly as popular, I decided to venture out to the mall and see if there was any good deals going on. I went into a few different stores, but didn’t find that great of deals. Instead I ended up splurging on a few things in my two favourite stores; Sephora and Lush.
