Holiday make-up looks and advice for taming curly hair

Those of you who follow my posts will know I was on holiday to Tunisia which I very much enjoyed. This is why there was no post from me last Wednesday and why this one is late. The weather was fantastic and as a result I have a good tan and

this has in turn changed the way I usually wear my make-up. Therefore for today’s post I thought I would share some of my make-up looks that I came up with in the evening as I didn’t wear any make-up at all during the day. If you have curly hair and often have trouble with it when you are abroad then I have some advice to help you manage it. If you would like to find out about these things then please read on.

Keratin Treatment : Curly Hair

Photo acquired from google.

Addicts! Recently I decided I wanted a little less curl to my hair – so I got a keratin treatment! This post isn’t on the experience itself, but rather on what I products I use after the treatment & my opinion of the results I achieved! If you have never heard of the keratin treatment, it’s basically a chemical process that will smooth your hair! If you want to know more scientific details on exactly what it does, you can click HERE for more information!

Personally, I have no issues with my natural hair! I love my curls! Sometimes I wish they were wavier, curlier, or just different! Everyone goes through a phase where they just want a change!

I have to say that my results came out better than expected! I love my hair! Typically it will last from 12-14 weeks and then the process must be repeated to maintain the manufactured texture, but as each treatment is done, it’s whispered that your hair will take longer to revert back! Now keep in mind I did not want to loose my curls, I just wanted looser waves and less frizz! Speaking of frizz, my hair probably held the world record and would take me at least 30 minutes and 6 products to style before this treatment! Now, it takes me about 15 and 3 products!  Pictures of my results are below. Read More

Garnier Fructis : Curl Sculpting Cream Gel

Curls, Coils, Swirls, Waves … whatever! Having them can be a blessing or an absolute curse! I love the fact that I can have straight hair when I want, with a little work of course – and curls when Im tired of straight hair, like I said – Blessing! But when you can’t find products that work to your advantage having curly hair will drive you crazy!

Into the crypt I go…

I found this Garnier Fructis curl sculpting cream gel that claims to give you bouncy curls with frizz control! (Don’t you feel like all curly hair products promise you that?) Well, who can blame them – who doesn’t want frizz free flowing hair? Usually I love Garnier products, but I came across this that I have a few issues with, time to vent.

“Garnier Fructis Style Curl Sculpting Cream-Gel with fruit micro-waxes delivers curl sculpting polymers and silicones, perfectly balanced with moisturizing conditioners, in a cream-gel formula that leaves curls defined and bouncy”

My Favorite Curly Hair Products For Fine Hair!!

So, I’m one of those girls that has never been able to have ‘shower and go’ hair! And it drives me crazy!! I either have to style it straight or style in wavy/curly! So naturally, I have an unhealthy amount of hair products! What can I say, I like to test the waters!

So on those days when I don’t feel like dealing with the whole blow dry and flat iron routine, or I feel like my hair needs a little break, I’ll style in curly. And I’ve found some really great products in the process!

I have repurchased this anti-wrinkle day cream several times.  Although I am only 26 I began to notice changes in my skin in my early twenties and looked for a day cream that would make my skin glow.  I was not dissapointed with this cream, it leaves my skin so soft, more radiant and it has a delicate and refreshing smell. I only use this cream once a day and so it lasts me a long time which means I do not mind repurchasing it again when it runs out.  I usually pay around £11 for it and I think that is a fair price for how long it lasts me.
