This month’s vanity trove is really awesome, and well rounded in my opinion, I hate getting boxes with only lip balm or skin care. Been loving almost everything inside this Trove. You guys would probably be getting things that are different from mine. Read More

March’s Go For Glow VanityTrove
Fujifilm has made a come back, not in cameras, film or anything related to photography, but in skincare. Last Saturday, I was lucky enough to be invited to the Vanity Trove + Astalift Pink Carpet event [event photos are here], where bloggers alike were given more in depth information to the new Fujifilm’s skin care line, Astalift. A fun little fact that was revealed to me was that Collagen, a key ingredient to many anti-aging skin care, is also essential in the photographic industry. That relation is probably why Fujifilm dwelled into anti-aging skincare.

All About BB Creams

I absolutely loveeeee BB Creams! Not only do they cover up your flaws, but they also lighten your acne scars, have SPF to protect your skin, (and some claim to have anti-aging effect). BB Creams, developed in Germany, was popularized by Korean celebrities where they were used as healing creams while also provides concealing of scars after plastic surgery.
As different BB Creams have different shades, the way I apply my BB Creams are as primers. I pop a layer on my face, without any moisturizer or primer, then according to the shade, put a darker or more yellow toned foundation on top of it. How I rate a good BB Cream is always by how effective it is in diminishing my scars, coverage and shade (to my own skin). In terms of staying power, it will not last 8 – 9 hours, it will not stay as pretty for 8 – 9 hours, but if you do, you will almost certainly notice a big difference in the lightening of scars (on a good BB Cream). A plus to BB Creams are that they are water resistant, I cycle around a lot, sometimes I use them purely as SPF.
But a little bit of caveat, BB Creams are not suitable for people who have darker than NC/NW 30 skin tones. BB Creams have often only 1-2 shades, as most of them are very light, due to the fact that most are Korean/Japanese brands, and these people are really fair. Most BB Creams do not have a yellow undertone to it. Read More

Frontcover Cosmetics
I first tried Frontcover Cosmetics over the Christmas holidays when my sister in law asked me if I would do her make-up for her as she was going on a night out. Her friend had bought her a Frontcover Cosmetics gift set for Christmas and I had seen the sets myself at Boots while doing my shopping. Last week I saw that Boots still had on a sale and I decided to buy ‘Blue Eyed Girl’ as shown in my mini haul last Wednesday. Read More
