Everyday Eyeliner: Maybelline New York Eyestudio

So I know everybody raved about this product when it first came out. I had my doubts and at the time I was using pencil eyeliner and I didn’t feel the need to try it. I finally tried it months after I saw it on my roommate and it looked reall

y good.

I purchased mine at Target and I am upset at myself because out of hast I bought the Charcoal color when I meant to grab the Blackest of Black. I learned my lesson the hard way I am also trying to make myself feel better that you really can’t tell the difference and also that I already have jet black hair

so having a lot of dark black might make me look too heavy. But that is just what I tell myself!

In the color Charcoal

Say Yes to the Dress?! Actually Yes to blueberries Cleansing Facial Towelettes

So today I am taking a break from make-up and talking about this relatively new product that removes make-up! This brand

is called Yes to, and it has a line of facial and body care but the one I will be reviewing are their cleaning facial tow

elettes.

For years I have been using Neutrogena cleasing towelettes and Target’s Up cleasing towelettes and these are not comparable to Yes To. First, the smell of Yes To Blueberries towelettes are pleasant and not overpowering. It doesn’t really smell like blueberries but it smells clean. (It does not like cleaning products but it has a clean smell and doesn’t smell flowery.) And the first reason I like these towelettes are the texture of the towelettes are soft. I felt like the texture of the Neutrogena and Up brands had a net like texture whereas these towelettes felt like Puff tissues against my face.

Pretty in Pink: Lorac Pro Powder Cheek Stain

I am in love with Lorac’s new Pro Powder Cheek Stain! I recently picked mine up from Sephora.

Claims:
12 hour long wear powder blush
paraben free
antioxidants of vitamins A, C, E

(Written on online pharmacy Lorac’s packaging)

The Lorac’s Pro Powder Cheek Stain is the most pigmented and long lasting blush I have ever tried. I would not know if it stayed on for 12 hours because I tend to touch my face a lot. However, even though I touch my face a lot

Millions of men who buy viagra online around the world are pleasing.

this powder blush stays on longer than any other blush. I have not tried Lorac’s regular blush so I can’t compare but their pro powder cheek stain has some serious staying powder. That being said, a little dab with the blush brush is a lot of pigmentation. It was something I got use too really quickly but the first time I used this blush it was too much pigmentation. Little Glass Bottle: MAC's Pro Longwear Concealer

My recent favorite concealer is by MAC called Pro Longwear. If you apply it using Sephora’s concealer brush #56 it can make it look as if you have flawless skin! I love it.

I would say it lasts for a full eight hour when I apply this face primer

and finishing powder when using this concealer. This concealer is medium to full coverage which is the kind of coverage I like. MAC has other lighter options for concealer but I have not tried them out yet.

Remember to purchase a concealer that is one shade lighter than your current skin tone so when you apply your foundation it will cover the spots you are trying to cover. Also concealer can also use to contour your face like area the eye area

and underneath your eyes.

Fairydrops on your eyelashes: Fairdrops Scandal Queen Mascara Review

So I have kind of given up on finding a mascara that will hold a curl with my stubborn straight. I spoke with a Sephora make-up artist and

told them my frustration and they pointed me in the direction of Japan’s Fairydrops Scandal Queen. They

said that this mascara has fibers to length my eyelashes. This mascara also has a patented (In Japan) mascara brush that helps curl your eyelashes as you apply your mascara.

I really wanted this mascara to work, because I love the packing of the product and it seemed so promising. I felt since this product was from Japan, that they made this product keeping Asian eyelashes in mind. I also have a higher end eyelash curler from Shiseido that should have helped the Fairydrops mascara hold my eyelash curl.

There is also possibility that I could not be using this product correctly and not be getting the whole benefit of this product. But I doubt it because the product should just be slowly brushed onto the eyelashes and curling at the same time.

Packaging

Patented Brush

Pros:
There are fibers to lengthen your eyelash.
The mascara does a good job defining your lower eyelashes.

Cons:
Doesn’t seem to hold a curl very well.
I get a ring of black mascara residue around my eyes at the end of the day.
The price of $24 for an ok mascara just isn’t worth it for me.

I won’t be purchasing this product again.
Let me know if you have any mascara suggestions for me!

*This mascara was not sent to me for review and is 100% my own and honest opinion of the product.

My New Holy Grail Black Liquid Eyeliner: NYX, The Curve

I just picked up my new favorite liquid eyeliner! It is the NYX’s black liquid eyeliner called The Curve.

I like the look of liquid eyeliner but after a year of trying the eyeliner out I still cannot draw a steady liner a cross my eye line

, until I picked up the NYX, The Curve. I love this product because it is easy to use and hold and with a couple swipes of this felt tip eyeliner on my eye-line, I am ready to head out the door. This is my new holy grail liquid eyeliner because the way it is shaped “the curve” allows me to draw a steady line every time. The way the product is shaped, it won’t allow me to make a mistake if I wanted to. I also like that I don’t have to pull of my eye every which way to make sure the line is even and so the line does not skip as well.

Sometimes I forgot that I am wearing eye make-up and I will rub my eyes and some of the eyeliner will transfer onto my hand. If I do a lot of rubbing it will smudge a little bit on the tail of my eyelid. This happens with all of eyeliner whether it is liquid or pencil so this aspect does not concern me.

One of My Stables: Make Up For Ever High Definition Powder

So I eyed this product for a year before purchasing this because I thought setting powder was something they just sold to you but you did not really need it. Boy was I wrong, I am in love with this product. It was not until another pageant friend also suggested this product and showed me the difference that I became a convert.

My Skin:
Combination (Dry and Oily)
Some acne

About the Product:
This powder can be worn alone or on top of your makeup. This high definition powder gives you an airbrush finish and gives a smooth look to your face. It is like putting clear nail polish on your nail color, you don’t have to but it is a nice finish. And of course the powder doesn’t make your face shinny like my clear nail polish analogy.

This definition powder lasts on my face for about half a day. So I apply for make-up at around seven in the morning and it lasts till around 1 in the afternoon. I do touch my face a little bit more than the average person because I like to

lend my face on my hand while in class. So this product may last longer if you don’t touch your face as much.

I have tired Bare Minerals’ Mineral Veil and it is comparable. Bar Minerals; Mineral Veil is only $20 for .21 oz of product. And Make Up For Ever HD Powder is $32 for .32 oz. In my opinion the Mineral Veil gives you a different kind of airbrush finish. It gives you an airbrush look within your face color since you have to choose a mineral veil color closest to your skin tone. But with the HD Definition Powder the white powder gives the face another dimension and a dewy look. The Mineral Veil is more of a matte look. Both products are good it just depends what kind of look you are going for and what you can afford.

Sorry folks, it doesn’t come with a pink label, you have to be Pearl to get that label! I label a lot of my make-up so I don’t lose it or have it mixed up with somebody else’s make-up.

Swirl and Apply

Pros: The produce is translucent when applied so it works for all skin colors.

It makes your make-up an airbrush finish and it looks like you just stepped out of a professional photo-shoot.

Cons: The product is expensive at $32 for .32 oz.

You have to be careful when you apply the powder because it is packaged as a loose powder.

I hope you enjoyed my review!
