Ever get an unsightly pimple or blemish right before a big event? That happens to me all of the time. After years of being frustrated by this constant problem and using tips and tricks from

friends with no luck, I discovered a solution:

Mario Badesc

u’s Drying Lotion ($17).

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

This product comes in a small glass bottle filled with a watery substance and pink sediment at the bottom. The

pink sediment is the product you actually

want, while the watery substance keeps the sediment from drying out. In order to access the sediment, use a cotton swab, making sure to grab some of the product. Once out of the bottle, the product can be placed anywhere on your face.

I like to put it on problem areas after I wash my face at

night. By leaving it on while I sleep, forming bumps and pimples that normally turn into huge blemishes are minimized. I have even used this in a pinch under makeup. I place a bit of the product on, let it dry, rub away some of the product, and then I add my makeup.

This product is particularly good for bumps or pimples that need to be dried out or are forming in difficult areas, like your chin or base of your nostrils. However, this product isn’t

made for blackheads.

This is a great product to have in your possession, because it comes in handy. Just be careful not to shake the bottle too much, or you will have to wait for the sediment to settle back to the bottom of the bottle!
