Awhile ago I talked about how I wanted to get a pressed powder and about a month ago I did just that. I eyed the bareMinerals READY SPF 15 Touch Up Veil in Translucent a few times at Sephora, but bought it on a whim at Ulta in early September. Here is what I think about this product:
My mom got a bareMinerals foundation set and had a little Mineral Veil that I used for awhile. Ultimately I hated how that was still a loose powder and I’ve been using a loose setting powder
for years. I knew that I wanted to get something that was Translucent because I was still using my St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse when I bought this. This product is not too expensive, it retails for $22, which is about the same I was paying for my Mary Kay loose mineral powder. The packaging is also very nice and very NARS-like, so it is prone to getting dirty.
This product looks great on the skin and does not appear “powdery.” It’s also very nice that SPF 15 is included in this product because wearing sunscreen everyday is a must for me. Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase and not having to deal with the mess of
a loose powder.
Now onto what I apply this product with. Again I bought this Real Techniques kabuki brush on a whim at Ulta (for $10) and I’m so glad that I did.
The best feature about this brush that I wasn’t even aware about until after buying it, is that it unfolds to become the perfect tool to contour with. I was using this brush with bronzer, but switched to using it with this powder after I stopped using St. Tropez. Now I use the contour aspect to sweep the product around my hairline. This brush buffs the product into my skin extremely well and I highly recommend this to everyone.
Have you tried the bareMinerals READY SPF 15 Touch up Veil and/or the Real Techniques kabuki brush?
