In August I instagramed a photo of my (at the time) makeup storage (see photo below) and my makeup was in desperate need of some organization.  It took me a little bit over a month, but I’m now happier with how my makeup is stored.  Let’s see what I did…

Now I just keep my everyday products in the drawer along with some hair ties and bobby pins.

I also used this storage system I already had that was used for school supplies and electronic stuff.  The drawers are from the Container Store that I purchased about two years ago (unfortunately they are not being sold anymore).  I wanted to show where I really store this drawer system, so I’m sorry about the toilet paper, trash and toilet being shown in the photo.  My bathroom in my apartment is pretty small and this was the best spot for it to fit.  The only issue I have is that I have to move it to get into the first two drawers.

The first drawer holds all my face products; foundations, primers, powders, highlighters, bronzers, concealers and blushes.

The second drawer holds all of my eye products; eyeshadows, palettes, eye primers, eyeliners and mascaras.

The third drawer holds all of my lip products; lip glosses, lipsticks, lip balms, lip liners, lip tints, and lip scrubs.

Lastly, the fourth drawer holds a lot of miscellaneous products such as samples, nail

polishes and nail wheels.

And just for fun I wanted to throw in how I store my nail polish.  The medicine cabinet in my bathroom works best for this type of storage.

How do you store your makeup?
