As a new month starts it means I can expect a Birchbox in my mailbox by the middle of the month. I’m pretty happy with this box and love that I can try new products being subscribed to this beauty box. Let’s see what I got this month…
The theme this month was the September issue and it even came with a mini look book (see photo below).
BVLGARI Mon Jasmin Noir
After testing this perfume out I’m not
sure if I like it or not. This perfume has notes of golden cedrat, lily of the valley, jasmine, sambac, angelwing jasmine, musky nougatine, cedar and patchouli. At first it smells a little old person-ish, but the sent grew on me after awhile. I don’t think I will be purchasing this perfume and again these free samples of perfumes
is getting annoying.
Color Club Birchbox Custom Polish in Insta-this
This color is gorgeous and reminded me of Sally Hansen’s Pacific Blue polish, but it is darker. I swatched this polish on a nail wheel and it was opaque in two coats.
Dr. Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm SPF 25+
I wish I had found out about this product sooner because it would have been perfect for spring and summer. Thankfully the sample shade matched my skin perfectly and feels light on the skin.
LiQWd Professional Volumizing Catalyst and Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner
Having thick curly/wavy hair I don’t really need help in the volume department so I was a bit disappointed. I tested out the “catalyst” aka hairspray and the hold is nice and smells amazing.
twistband Birchbox Custom Lace Hair Tie
I love these hair ties and this print is super cute. I wish I had gotten it in a color other than blue…black would have be preferred but I’m still going to use it.
The extra goodie this month was a $25 gift card with a $75 purchase to Madewell.
I’m still going to stay subscribed to Birchbox and I definately recommend to those who are thinking about it.
If you’ve missed my last two Birchbox posts you can find them here from July and August.
