Is it just me or is finding a good brush cleanser surprisingly hard to do?! I feel like I’ve always been searching for a ‘better’ brush cleanser than the one I had and I keep falling short… After trying a bunch of
not so good cleansers I think I’ve found the perfect one for me.
For the past while I’ve just been using the simple olive oil and shampoo, but I never seemed to be able to get the right balance. I either didn’t dip it in enough olive oil, and the bristles were dry, or I put too much olive oil and I had to re-wash them because they were too greasy. It would clean them well, because the oil would break up the dirt, but it just seemed like an annoying process to me.
I ended up deciding to try the MAC brush cleanser because I never had before and I was determined to find something that worked.
I ended up being really surprised. The MAC brush cleanser is really good. I would have never guessed such a watery consistency could clean so good. Whether I use it for a spot cleaning or a full on deep brush cleaning it works well every time.
My only annoyance with this product is that you don’t get a lot for the price. It runs at about CAN $16 and
because of its watery consistency, can be used up fairly quickly.
It’s unscented, and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on your skin. It’s also good for acne prone skin and all skin types to my knowledge.
If you’re looking for a great quality brush cleaner, I would definitely give this a try.
Have you tried it out? Or if you do let me know what you think!
Hope you all had a great weekend,
Linda xx
