I haven’t tried out too many BB creams, so I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and decided to try out L’OREAL Paris’ Magic Skin Beautifier BB and Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB. I think both of these products are fairly new, which was exactly why I

picked them up. So let’s see what I thought about these two BB creams.

L’OREAL Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB

The L’OREAL Paris website describes this product as “meet the all-in-one Skin Beautifier for a perfect natural finish. This multi-tasking beautifying cream delivers multiple beautifying actions: hydrates, corrects, evens and perfects. It’s ultra lightweight and blends in seamlessly for a prefect natural finish. Available in 4 skin-transforming shades.”

I picked this up at Walmart for around $11,

which is kind of pricey for a drugstore foundations, but it doesn’t break the bank. L’OREAL is not a brand that I normally gravitate towards, but I had read good things about this product.

At first when this product comes out of the tube, it looks more like a facial cleanser or mask than a foundation. It has little beads in it that I think help the foundation match with your skin color. These beads also have Vitamin C and E in them. I chose color 812 Light, but should have chosen the Fair shade because the Light shade is a bit too dark for me, but works when I have a tan.

Pros:

- Good coverage

- Affordable

Cons:

- Shade range

- Kind of greasy

- Smells like sunscreen

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB

The Maybelline website describes this product as, “the 1-step wonder for a good skin day, everyday. Packed with 8 great skin benefits for instant skin perfection. Ideal for Normal Skin.” Maybelline also says this product is 8-1 because it: blurs imperfections, brightens, evens skin tone, smoothes, hydrates, enhances, protects with SPF 30 and 0% oils and heavy ingredients.

Again, I got this product at Walmart for about $9- so it’s cheaper than the L’OREAL Paris BB cream. But if you’re going to buy this product I recommend getting it from Ulta because they have testers there.

I picked this product in the shade Light (the lightest shade) and it works well with my skin tone. It definitely achieves a natural look.

Pros:

- More shades (5)

- Good coverage

- Smells nice

- SPF 30

Cons:

- Product doesn’t seem full (packaging issue maybe)

If I had to chose one- Go for the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB. For the price it is the best value, especially since both of these BB creams are 1 fl. oz. Although, this comparison might not be very fair because I need to get the right shade.

Have you tried out either of these BB creams?
