Okay I know that title sounds a little crazy, but I promise it isn’t as weird as you think! So the other night, I was out with some friends and a girl in my group had this scarf wrapped around her head. It looked sooo cute that I had to ask her how s

he did it!! She had a pin-up style with tattoos, so the scarf fit very well for her. The next day I wanted to try it but was afraid it wouldn’t look right with my style. But how am I supposed to know unless I tried, right?

So it

turns out that everyone loved it! I got so many compliments from random strangers, that I knew it was something I was gonna stick with. And it would be perfect to wear to the pool if you’re not a huge hat person like myself. Added bonus: it’s super simple, but unfortunately, I don’t have a camera handy because I’m in the process of a cross-country move!! So I’m going to explain it as best as I can!!

First, get a regular neck scarf, the infinity ones will not work. The girl who showed me had a plain black one, but I had a maroon and pink scarf and it looked just fine!! Then fold the scarf long ways, or “hot dog style” so its still as long but only half the width. Put your hair into a low ponytail, then put it on your head showing the front of your hair line and tuck it behind your ears.

Take one side of the scarf and start wrapping it around your ponytail, after the first time around, grab the ponytail and start wrapping it with the scarf. After that side is fully wrapped around, take the other side and do the same. Make sure to tuck the end in so it won’t fall out. And that is it!! You should have a pretty large bun in the back of your head! Now you’ll have this vintage hair wrap that you can wear to the pool or on a day when your just too lazy to wash your hair!!

This has become my new to-go hair do to change things up! I dare you to try it!
