I have recently been trying the Kitoko Hair Oil, a natural hair treatment that is a blend of Karité and Argan oils. At first I was a little sceptical, unlike a lot of people I haven’t really jumped on the hair oil band wagon so I was interested to s

ee if this natural hair treatment would change my mind!

This product is available from Lush Duck and this is what they have to say about the product:

‘Kitoko Oil Treatment is an indulgent blend of Karité and Argan oils, richer in antioxidants, Omega oils, and Vitamins A and E than other oils. This sensory oil treatment is perfectly balanced to the hair and scalp, resulting in incredible absorption and rapid penetration without adding weight to the hair.

Essential fatty acids nourish the hair from within to stimulate incredible condition, elasticity and shine. Kitoko Oil Treatment will not only revive tired hair, but will help neutralise free-radicals and protect

the hair from environmental and chemical damage.

  • Provides intense nourishment, whilst smoothing & strengthening the hair
  • Improves the hair’s elasticity
  • Lightweight formula, perfect for all hair types
  • Restores shine and moisture balance
  • Excellent for replenishing brittle hair & split ends’

This hair oil can be used on damp or dry hair, and I’ve tried it both ways. Firstly I just want to say that this product smells FANTASTIC! It is literally the nicest smelling hair product I own. It reminds me of summer and going on holiday!

You need very, very little of this product. 2 – 3 drops is more than enough, even on thick hair, otherwise your hair will become oily. I used this on my hair damp, and although it does give it a lovely shine, I think I prefer using it on dry hair at the ends to give it a little more moisture.

I can’t say it has improved my hair’s elasticity, because I’m not entirely sure what that means (any hints, please leave in the comments below!) but it has been helping my brittle ends and has now become a firm fixture in my hair care routine. Have I mentioned that it smells fabulous?

I also love that I can’t feel it sitting in my hair, like a hair wax or something. It really does have a lightweight formula.

The bottle is quite small (10ml) but when you use so very little I think this is fine, and perfect for travelling with. Also at £6.50 it isn’t going to break the bank!

Definitely a big win for the Kitoko hair oil. I have been converted!
