Those of you who follow my posts will know I was on holiday to Tunisia which I very much enjoyed. This is why there was no post from me last Wednesday and why this one is late. The weather was fantastic and as a result I have a good tan and

this has in turn changed the way I usually wear my make-up. Therefore for today’s post I thought I would share some of my make-up looks that I came up with in the evening as I didn’t wear any make-up at all during the day. If you have curly hair and often have trouble with it when you are abroad then I have some advice to help you manage it. If you would like to find out about these things then please read on.

I should say first of all that in my What’s in my Travel Make-up bag post which you can find here I showed that I was going to take the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette. However, I changed my mind and decided to take the original Naked palette. I am glad I did because my favourite make-up look was using Toasted on the lid, on top of On and On Bronze Colour Tattoo, Hustle in the crease and Sin as a highlight. Here is how it looked.

I haven’t used any foundation here as I didn’t feel like I needed any but I have used MAC’s blot powder which I bought at the airport and I have to say I absolutely love it. It makes such a difference to my oily

t-zone and will definitely be repurchasing it. I have used Benefit’s Brow-Zing set to powder in my eyebrows. This was another purchase from the airport that I have been enjoying. On my cheeks I used Maybeline Bouncy Blush in Candy Coral and on my lips is Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart.

Another look I came up with was using Maybeline’s black gel eyeliner and the Lashes to Go that I received in my June SheSaidBeauty Box. These lashes have a clear band rather than a black band and for most people would probably be easy to apply but I am not very good at all at applying a full fake lash. I did my best and this is what it looked like.

I have The Body Shop’s lipstick on in Neon Pink here which looks very similar in photographs to Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart. Everything else used on my face was as before.

Finally I wore a red lip on a couple of evenings. The lipstick used in this photo was Rimmel’s Moisture Renew in Rose Passion which cost me a bargain £1 at PoundWorld.

I used Urban Decay’s 24/7 eye-liner on my lash-line and Urban Decay’s SuperCurl Curling Mascara which is the mascara I used in all of these looks. I am still using the sample size of this mascara which Lauren kindly gave me as a gift. I want to buy the full-sized one really badly and was hoping it would be available at the airport but sadly it wasn’t.

I had a lot of fun creating looks to compliment my darker skin tone and hope this post has given you some inspiration if you have a summer holiday planned or if you live somewhere sunny and will be getting darker over the summer months. As I said at the beginning of the post I also want to give some tips on dealing with curly hair in warmer climates. I found that my hair was air drying too quickly in Tunisia once I had washed it. This was leaving it very flat and lifeless and so I decided to start rinsing it with really cold water before getting out of the shower. This really worked wonders for me and meant that my hair wasn’t as fly-away and limp. I couldn’t avoid washing my hair everyday on holiday but if you can then this will also help your curls to hold better when you do wash it. Just as I normally do at home I put my Trevor Sorbie Curl Cream through my wet hair, let it air dry until it was just slightly damp and then tipped my head upside down and blasted it with my hair dryer. I also used Pantene hair-spray which is my favourite.

My posts will be back on track now and so I will have a new post for you guys on Wednesday, until then take care beauties.
