On a recently trip to the mall I decided to take a look in LUSH. And of course I couldn’t go in without coming out with something. I have been looking for some new skin care products because my skin has been acting up lately. I talked with the girl working there and she recommended a few products to me, so let’s see what I got…

First, my skin type is sensitive, combination, and acne prone, so if my skin is similar to your’s then you should check out these products.

Aquamarina

My skin has a lot of redness as well, which was why the LUSH girl recommended this cleanser for me. The LUSH site describes this product as, “Aqua Marina was made with the same principle in mind; using the soothing pink extract to reduce redness and inflammation in sensitive skin. Those who have a tendency to react to citrus or strong herbal oils will find salvation in Aqua Marina’s gentle aloe vera and moisturizing nori seaweed. Especially cooling on sun burnt faces, Aqua Marina is perfect for normal to dry skin types.” The seaweed makes this product smell kind of weird, but it really leaves my face clean.

To use this cleanser you first get your face wet with warm water. Then you take a small amount and coat it with warm water and lather it onto your face. Lastly, rinse the cleanser off.

The nice thing about Aquamarina is that you can choose the amount that you want. I bought a $15 amount and the girl working told me it should last me almost three months.

Eau Roma Water

The other product I bought was a toner because I’ve heard great things about the LUSH toners. I love that this product is so easy to use since it’s in a spray bottle and it leaves my skin feeling very clean and hydrated. Eau Roma Water also smells amazing and the scent matches well with the scent of Aquamarina. The LUSH sire describes this product as, “Our most moisturizing toner, Eau Roma relies on the King and Queen of the essential oils world, rose and lavender. Both oils have been used for thousands of years to treat dryness, redness or irritation. Rose is particularly nourishing and cooling, while lavender helps your skin produce the right amount sebum (oil) to keep it suppler. Simplicity at it’s best.”

I bought the smaller size because I wanted to try it out and it cost about $9, which is a great value.

The girl working also recommended the Angels on Bare Skin cleanser for me as well. She tested it on me and I really enjoyed it, but I don’t need to have two cleansers at once. So I will be purchasing that cleanser once I run out of Aquamarina.

Overall, so far so good with the Aquamarina cleanser and Eau Roma Water toner. Fingers crossed that they improve my skin!

Have you tried any of the LUSH face skin care products?
