Up until recently I haven’t really known of good products or even a good way to do my eyebrows. I would try and make sure they were groomed well, but didn’t ever really use any products on them. Then after seeing eyebro

w shapes being so played up on celebrities everywhere, I decided I wanted to start paying more attention to my eyebrows. That’s when I rediscovered the brand Anastasia at a recent trip to Sephora. I’d already had the powder duo, but I decided to pick up the brow gel as well and see if both products could transform my eyebrows. If you’re interested in finding out what I thought about the products keep reading…

About a year ago I’d picked up Anastasia Powder duo in ‘Brunette’ but it ended up being one of those things I tossed in my drawer and rarely used. This wasn’t because of the quality or whether or not I liked the product, it simply had to do with the fact that I just didn’t really know how to do my eyebrows. I guess that sounds kind of silly, coming from someone obsessed with makeup, but for some reason or another it was just never something I was confident with. So after making the change and forcing myself to pay more attention to my eyebrows grabbed my powder duo and was amazed at the results…

Not that I have much to compare it to (because like I said, my experience with eyebrow products is only just beginning), I still found I really love this product. The powder was easily blended into my eyebrows (with an angled brush of course), and didn’t have any powdery fall out or streaky application. It was easy to brush right into my eyebrows and left them looking really natural. (I would usually have taken a picture but regretfully with my busy schedule lately I haven’t up kept them to picture worthy quality and would be too embarrassed to show them). This powder duo is quite expensive at $29 CAN, but lasts a very long time. I have barely made a dent in it and have used it for a month straight already.

In my recent trip to Sephora I picked up the Anastasia brow gel because it was only $12 for the small size (in the “grab and go” section). I wasn’t really sure what to expect from it… In the past when I’ve tried brow gels they’ve left my eyebrows looking glossy or the gel would flake off after a couple hours use. So trying this gel was a little bit of a leap of faith.

After trying it out the past couple weeks I’ve decided I do like it. The only “con” to this product that I have found so far is that it hardens my eyebrows a little more than I’d like. I know that’s the point of a brow gel but I don’t really want to feel it on my eyebrows when I touch them, I more just want them to stay in place. But, I will deal with this small downfall because I really like that it doesn’t flake or make my eyebrows look glossy. It keeps them looking natural, even from up close. You can’t tell that they would feel hard, they look like simply well groomed eyebrows.

If you’re looking to start paying more attention to your eyebrows, or even if you want to change up your current eyebrow products, I definitely would suggest giving these a try.

What’s your current eyebrow routine? What products do you use? I’d love to expand my knowledge and experience with eyebrow products and would love your suggestions!
