Are you a beauty junkie on a budget? I know I am! I’ve created a list of my top 10 must have products for those wanting to spend under $10, but want to get a good quality product. Although there is a lot of high end makeup that’s to die for, there’s also some amazing drug store brand, or “cheaper” products that are just as good. Keep reading if you want to know what I think are the best bang for your buck products!
1. REVLON LIP BUTTERS
$7.49 (but often on for buy 2 get 1 free promos)
I know I’m constantly raving about these, but that’s why they made it to this Top 10 list. These little guys are amazing. They’re the perfect mix of lip stick and lip gloss. These will be a staple to my makeup collection for a really long time.
2. SIMPLE MOISTURIZING FACIAL WASH
$6.97
I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the entire Simple skin care line, but this face wash surpasses any one I’ve ever bought. Even after spending $13 on a travel size Philosophy Hope in a Jar face wash I hands down prefer the Simple one. It’s cheap, works just as well, and makes my skin feel incredibly soft and clean.
3. NYX RETRACTABLE EYELINER
$4.50
These are the best drug store eyeliners that I’ve personally ever used. They apply similar to the Stila Smudge Stick liners. They go on very smooth and are incredibly pigmented. Being 1/4 of the price of the Stila ones these feel like a steal to me!
4. L’Oreal Voluminous in Carbon Black Mascara
$7.29
This has become my “go to” mascara over the past couple months. Amidst trying different brands, I always seem to go back to this and fall in love with it all over again every time. This is without a doubt a must have for me!
5. Honey I Washed The Kids LUSH Soap
$7. 95/3.5 oz
LUSH describes this soap as “one of our best-selling soaps because it’s simply irresistible. People who fully intended to walk past a LUSH shop find themselves unable to resist its sweet caramel fragrance. You’ll inhale, drool, pick up a big chunk and immediately want to wash yourself all over with it. It’s so gentle, buttery and scrumptious you’ll have a hard time keeping it to yourself. The honey water and aloe are so softening and moisturizing, you can use our toffee-scented sensation on the whole family”.
6. Essie Nail Polish
$7.99
I’m sure this brand of nail polish isn’t new to any of you… Essie is one of my favourite nail polish brands and totally affordable! 1/3 of my nail polish collection consists of Essie, and are a must have for me for sure.
7. Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner (black)
$9.99
The day I find out these are getting discontinued I’ve sworn to myself to go pick up as many as I can. This product in my opinion is identical quality to the famous Bobbi Brown gel eyeliners. They are just as pigmented, just as long lasting and half the price.
8. Maybelline Eye Studio Colour Tattoo 24HR
$7.29
Again, a product I’m sure you’re all familiar with. These are a great dupe to MAC’s Paint Pots and again, half the price. They really do last a long time, and provide both a great base colour or a great stand alone shadow.
9. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Treatment Concealer
8.99
Not only does this product work great at concealing, it’s my “go to” product when I feel my eyes need a bit of an under eye brightening. I alternate between this concealer and my MAC concealer (both very different). I love how a $9 product can keep up with the quality of my more expensive product versions.
10. EOS Lip Balm
2.96
Not only is this product adorable, it’s the best standard lip balm I’ve ever used. The flavours are incredible (summer fruit, sweet mint, honeysuckle etc.) and they’re the perfect on the go product. This is a staple in my purse and probably will be for a long time.
