If you follow me on Twitter (if you don’t then you should! wink wink), then you’ll know that I’ve been sick since Friday! No matter what I did, I never felt pretty. Eventually, I just gave up on that but I knew I had to stay hydrated! Coconut water is my favorite way to stay hydrated, because lets be honest, water gets really boring after awhile! Then I had an idea, lets do a little research on the beauty benefits on coconut water!

Photo from here.

First one being that it’s hydrating! One of the major ways to have glowing, younger looking skin is to make sure its hydrated. And not with moisturizer, but from the inside out. Coconut water is the second most hydrating liquid, aside from water, and it’s natural! No High Fructose Corn Syrup or loads of sugars are added!

Second, you can use coconut water directly on your face. Whether it as a mask, or just a rinse, it can help with acne and scarring. Also, it tones your skin and hydrates without being greasy. You can combine it with other ingredients to make different masks, like pineapple, for a more exfoliating and brightening mask!

This is more of a health related benefit, but it can be considered beauty too, it helps you lose weight!! It brings more oxygen to your muscles and organs and helps speed up your metabolism! Speeding up your metabolism helps your burn more calories while just sitting on the couch. Also, its a great after workout drink as well!!

I plan on doing more research on coconut water and hopefully I can find some great all natural masks to share with you all!!

PS- sorry this post is so short this week!! My cold

is draining all my energy!! Back to sleep I go! :(

She has lived her life centered around the beauty community for the past 2 years. She started wearing makeup in the 8th grade and hasn’t looked back since. She considers her make up style to be pretty neutral, but she does love some glitter! To her, makeup is more of an art form. She thinks that it is our duty as women to embrace all “flaws” and she hopes to be able to look back and know that she helped women believe that imperfections are pretty, that being flawed makes you perfect and that beauty comes from the inside.
