So, I’m one of those girls that has never been able to have ‘shower and go’ hair! And it drives me crazy!! I either have to style it straight or style in wavy/curly! So naturally, I have an unhealthy amount of hair products! What can I say, I like to test the waters!

So on those days when I don’t feel like dealing with the whole blow dry and flat iron routine, or I feel like my hair needs a little break, I’ll style in curly. And I’ve found some really great products in the process!

First, Sally Hershberger’s Style Primer. I don’t know how I survived without this stuff. Yes, I’m being a little dramatic. But, seriously, its awesome! I heard about it on Youtube (surprise, surprise!), and decided to give it a try. So I picked it up at ULTA, and I don’t think it was too expensive, under $15, and give it a try. Well, it smells like Bath & Body Works’ Coconut Lime Verbena, and its a foam but not as dense as a mousse. I comb it through with my fingers and then scrunch my hair with it. I usually let it sit for a few minutes before my next step.

Then, I have a few different products that I will rotate through. First being the Garnier Wonder Waves spray which I did a post on last week, and you can check that out here. This stuff is awesome and its cheap! Can’t beat that!

Second product is my Redken Soft Spin 05! My room mate uses this and she swears by it so I had to check it out. Now this is about $15 I think, so a little on the expensive side. But if you’re looking for a gel, this is awesome! Its on the lighter side because it is made for fine hair, but it won’t leave your hair crunchy or weighed down. I really love it. It gives my hair fullness and bounce, just amazing!

Next, if you’re looking for a mousse, check it Herbel Essences Tousle Me Softly! I used this stuff all throughout college and swore by it. Its great for messy, wavy curls because of its flexible hold. It definitely gives you that beach bunny hair, almost like you never styled it that way! And its cheap!

Now when I’m going for a more relaxed look, I’ll just use my Not Your Mothers Beach Babe sea salt spray. This stuff is the best sea salt spray I’ve tried, and its super cheap. But it is kind of hard to find. I’ve seen it at Walmart and ULTA in The States, but I’m not so sure about anywhere else! This will definitely help with that beachy look and give your hair lots of texture!

After I used one of these products, I usually add a smoothing serum to my hair to help with some of a frizz. Lately, I’ve been loving L’Oreal’s new Ever Style Smooth & Shine Serum! Its part of their alcohol free styling line, so it doesn’t dry my hair out and it really does great things with my curls/waves. Then, I’ll finish it off with Suave Touchable Finish Hairspray. I love to use this because its a lightweight hold so it wont weigh my hair down or add any crunchiness to my hair. And its cheap and smells really nice as well!!

I really hope this has helped with your curly/wavy hair adventures!!
