As you might have seen, some of the Facekitt writers have decided to do Project Pan . While I haven’t committed to this, I have been inspired to rediscover a product that I haven’t used in a long while which is Urban Decay’s Deluxe Palette.

I have had this for around four years now and it is still available to buy. In seraching online for it it came up on the Debenhams website in the UK for £27 and it is also available on the official Urban Decay website in the United States for $38. Here is a photo of a nice new one.

Here is how mine currently looks.

As you can see Graffiti has been well loved and Scratch even more so! I can see the pan a little bit on Ransom too. I used to wear Graffiti a lot as I really loved green eye-shadows. However, over the last couple of years I have mostly been wearing browns, golds and neutral shades. I think this palette is great as it has a mixture of really vibrant fun colours and some more natural shades.

I used up Scratch really quickly as its such a nice colour and so I purchased the full size one. This can also still be purcahsed and sells for £14 on the Debenhams website and for $18 on UrbanDecay.com. Here is how it looks in the pan and swatched on my hand.

As you can see it is a soft pink colour and I have heard people saying that they also like this as a highlight on their cheekbones. YouTube guru Tiffany D has spoke of her love for it in the past, I had already owned mine by then and agreed with what she had to say about it. Shag and Underground which are at either end of Sratch in the Deluxe palette tone in with it perfectly. To give a bit more of a smokey eye you can also use Zero to darken out the outer portion of your eye.

When I got my Deluxe palette back out I decided to go for a more colourful look because as I say I wear neutral colours a lot now and I fancied a bit of colour so here is what I went for.

For this look I used Honey in the inner corner and first third of my eye-lid. I then applied some Fishnet which you can see better below and finally I put Ransom in the outter corner and on my bottom lashline. I also used a very small ammount of  Zero on my  outer corner to deepen it up a bit. I used Maybeline Gel Eye-liner along my top lash line to tie everything in together  and I used Urban Decay 24/7 eye-liner in Zero on my bottom lashline again to tie everything in and deepen it out.

Hopefully this has inspired you to go and rediscover some of your old favourites in your collection. Or perhaps I have inspired you to buy this palette! If you do fancy it I would actually say go for it because its got a great selection of colours, the shadows are of fantastic quality and if you need another excuse then perhaps it could be that who knows how long this will be available for. Urban Decay bring out palettes quite regularly and it is hard to say when they might discontinue ones such at this.
