I too have been persuaded to join Project Pan 2012, and as if to spite me all of my favourite products have chosen the same moment to start to run out! Although it’s breaking my heart that I can’t (and don’t need to!) replace them, my bank balance will thank Amy for persuading me to do this!  My first product to run out was my Chanel Pro Lumiere foundation.

To give you an idea of just how much I love this product I am going to give you an image comparison.  The image above is how the foundation looked when I first bought it.  All clean and expensive looking in its lovely glass bottle.

This is how my bottle looks after my attempts to open it and get the very last dregs of the foundation out.  I know.  I’m ashamed.

I adore this foundation.  It gives excellent coverage without looking like you are wearing a lot of makeup (my boyfriend loves it because my skin ‘still looks like skin’ when I wear it!) and leaves a lovely dewy finish to the skin but without it looking too shiny (if you prefer a matte finish this may not be the product for you!).

Sadly, word has it that it’s being discontinued (which everyone seems to know except the sales assistants at my local Chanel counter – despite the fact Boots website has stopped selling it already).

Pros

Gives good coverage, without being cakey

Leaves a dewy finish to the skin (which I love)

Bottle has a pump applicator

Cons

Is incredibly expensive for so little product (my bottle cost me £32 for 30ml of product)

It’s being discontinued!

I hope this review was helpful! If you can I recommend getting your hands on a bottle of this before it is discontinued. If I hear that my local Chanel counter will stop selling it before Project Pan is over…. Well this might be the product I break the rules for!
