I haven’t found one girl who loves her nails looking….less than amazing! I’m not a polish junkie (at least I like to think), but I do like purchasing everyday colours and occasionally a few that are better suited for a special occasion or the holidays!

Every Christmas / New Year season I witness the glitter/sequin apocalypse – It never fails! Even though the holiday’s are over, it doesn’t mean that you have to store your glitter varnishes with your winter clothes!

Glitter doesn’t have to be worn on your nails only while blowing out candles, kissing under mistletoe or decking the halls! I’ve come across a few glitter varnishes that I would wear everyday they’re so beautiful and I want to share my most recent find with you! – Oh, and an amazing tip for removing it!

I know, this polish has been out for a while, but it doesn’t mean I can’t display my affection for it…does it!?

How many of us are obsessed with OPI!? I can probably name about 40 girls off the top of my head! We even use to have OPI swap nights during my undergrad. About 10 of my friends and I would all meet in my room on the weekends with our favourite OPI polishes – only OPI was allowed we were prejudice .

It would be like varnish vegas! We would all have are chips (polishes) and trade with each other until we end up with the ones we loved the most! One time I even traded 3 polishes and out haggled a girl for “My Private Jet” . I was beyond excited!

I feel like if I were to have a swap night again, I wouldn’t trade this one for the world! I love Rainbow Collection!

The glitter is a mixture of larger and small flexs, in a bedazzled assortment of colours! Silver, Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Gold, and probably a few more than I can’t see! It does however come in a clear base. (which means that if applied to your nail, your nail bed will show through with the glitter on top. Below I have swatches of the polish with and without a base so you can get a better idea of what I mean.  It dries very quickly – as most glitter does, but again like all glitter’s it can be a ….. to take off! Have no fear, TIP time is here!

How many times have you avoided painting your nails with a glitter polish because you fear the time to take it off!? Raising my hand and toes… I HAVE!

TIP: When you are thinking about applying a Glitter nail polish, get your hands on a rubberized base coat (RBC)! Orly makes a really good one that I use (It came with my french manicure set). Apply a coat of the RBC (it dries almost instantly) then apply your favourite glitter varnish! Viola! When ready to remove, you can simply peel your varnish off because of the coat underneath! It makes glitter polishes even that more attractive knowing  that I won’t have to waste my precious life removing it!

I would never wear this glitter polish with the red, I did it for a good contrast so you guys can see the size and texture of the glitter!  I do like it with out a base coat, and with the color pictured to the far right.

Hope you guys go out and play with your glitters!  Even if it’s no where near the holidays!
