I first tried Frontcover Cosmetics over the Christmas holidays when my sister in law asked me if I would do her make-up for her as she was going on a night out. Her friend had bought her a Frontcover Cosmetics  gift set for  Christmas and I had seen the sets myself at Boots while doing my shopping. Last week I saw that Boots still had on a sale and I decided to buy ‘Blue Eyed Girl’ as shown in my mini haul last Wednesday.

As you can see from the photograph, the set comes with three blue/silver toned eye-shadows, a mascara with a black end and a blue end, a shimmery dark blue nail polish, a product called ‘shadowline’ and an applicator for the eye-shadows.

So what is this product called ‘shadowline’? That is exactly what I wondered when I got the set. I read the back of the box and it said it can be used to mix with the shadows to turn them into a paste. Frontcover cosmetics sell this product on its own and say that it can be used with all shadows and loose pigments to make a great eye-liner.

I decided to test out the set on Saturday night as I was going out to dinner with my husband, here’s how it turned out!

I used the lightest colour all over my lid and into the corners and then I used the next lightest shade in my crease and the darkest shade to create an outer ‘V’ shape. I used a different black mascara from the one in the set but I did use the blue end of the mascara on my bottom lashes.

Recently I have been using mostly neutral, brown or gold shades so this made a really nice change. The shadows are really vibrant and pigmented and complement each other beautifully. Although I did not use the Shadowline product I plan to in the future as I think a pop of blue eye-liner would also look really nice.

The nail polish in this set is also really nice and I do like the idea of matching up my eye look to my nails

I will definitely be checking out more products from Frontcover cosmetics in the future. If you would like to see their full range of products you can go to www.frontcovercosmetics.com, you can also join their Facebook page or follow them on twitter @FrontCoverCos .
