Best beauty advice of 2011:
Lauren – My mom always tells me that I should wash my face every night and take very good care of my skin.
Gemma – I was told never to use cream products (e.g. bronzers, blushes, highlighters) on dry skin. Excellent advice as my skin has been so dry this year!
Linda – I used to be lazy with removing my eye makeup before bed. I’d wash my face and all of my face makeup would come off easy, but I never took off my eye makeup separately to really ensure it was off. Then I was told that it really dries out your eye lashes if you aren’t removing the mascara 100%. Totally changed the way my mascara would apply and the healthiness of my lashes once I started doing so!
Dunia – It may sound tough but avoid chapsticks! Your lips become dependent on the artificial moisture and then are prone to dryness and cracking. I switched to vaseline and my lips are always so soft! Keep the travel size with you on the go and feel free to apply it as much as you want instead of a chapstick.
Francene – Using eyeshadow over eyeliner to take away the harsh line and make it last longer (been doing that for years but it is good advice!)
Amy – Learn to feel comfortable with yourself and your own skin and your makeup will look better. And always go with your gut!
Nicole – Always double cleanse your face after removing your makeup, this will make your skin happy!
