While out doing my Christmas shopping I have seen lots of great stocking fillers for both men and women and so I thought I would post them for those of you who have been stuck for ideas or who have left your shopping to the last minute! Stockings are a really fun way of buying your loved one several little items that you know they will love and so it is really personal to them. I am also going to show you that you can do it on any budget.

For Her

There are so many things that you can put into the stocking of the lady in your life or your Mum or friend’s stocking. I would personally always put in the persons favourite sweets or chocolate and perhaps a C.D. that they have spoken about that they don’t have. Then I would start to think about what beauty items that the female in question likes to use or ones that you have tried and think that they might like. Here are a few ideas:

All of the main Soap and Glory products come as minitures and are  available at www.boots.com. Due to the cold weather, which makes our skin dry, this 50ml hand cream is a great stocking filler, it costs £2.35 at Boots. Soap and Glory products smell so good and the packaging is really fun and girly. If you did decide to go with hand cream, you could also include a nail file and a nail polish so that you have a bit of a theme running through your choices. If you want your loved one to be bang on trend you could add in some nail wraps such as those by Nail Rock

These particular ones shown are limited edition designed by Kylie Minogue but there are so many out there to choose from and I think they are a great stocking filler idea because your loved one can use them at New Year.

Alternatively you could simply go with the theme of beauty essentials such as lip balm/vaseline, make-up wipes, cotton wool pads, a little bottle of nail polish-remover and maybe you could include a treatment such as this Thermal Mask by The Body Shop, it costs £9.

This is quite a unique product and would be a nice treat on what could be a pamper night! The Body Shop has a wide range of products that would make great stocking fillers, one of my personal favourite scents from them is Satsuma, it is so refreshing and uplifting.

If you have a more generous budget for your stocking then I think that this Dior Little Luxuries Frangrance Set is gorgeous.  It costs £25 and is available from www.boots.com.

As well as loving beauty products I also really enjoy burning candles and tarts. I have a Yankee Candle Tart burner and the tarts only cost £1.10 and there are loads to choose from. So perhaps a small candle or tart would make a good stocking filler.

For Him

For the man in your life or for your Dad I would again include his favourite sweets and either a C.D. or DVD that you know he would like. Perhaps you could include some designer boxers such as Calvin Klein or Armani as I find that rarely do guys treat themselves to these.

I have been informed by some male friends that there are products out there that guys enjoy using. One of these is Nivea For Men Aftershave Balmsam. This product has repeatedly won in the best skin care category in the FHM grooming awards.

Another good product range I have been informed about is L’Oreal Men Expert

You could buy a set like this one or you could buy just one item from the range.  One year someone got my Dad one of these gift sets and he didn’t use the moisteuriser.  When I had run out of mine I used his and yes it did smell slightly manly but I absolutely loved how it made my skin feel , I could tell it was a great quality product.

Dior also do a Little Luxuries Fragrance set for Men. I couldn’t find a picture for this but I can tell you that it also costs £25 and it includes 10mls of Farenheit, 10ml Dior Homme Sport and 10ml Eau Savage. Like the women’s one it comes in a lovely presentation box and looks more expensive than its £25 price tag.

Finally, two products that my Husband has always used and so maybe your loved one or Dad might like too are V05 Fibre putty and Radox shower gel

Have fun with making up your Christmas Stockings for your loved ones and if I could only give one piece of advice I would say make it as personal as possible. If you buy the things you know they love it shows you know them well and take notice of the things they like. If you are really stuck for ideas then I would say go ahead and buy some of these products I have mentioned as they are all great quality and good value for money. If you have seen anything at all that you think would make a brilliant stocking fillers then please leave a comment below. Merry Christmas to all of our readers.
